Heading out on a nature tour is an exciting adventure, and being well-prepared can make your experience even more enjoyable. At Ladybird Tours, we want you to have the best time exploring the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of the Gdańsk and Tri-city area. Here’s a handy list of essentials to bring along for our 4-hour nature tour to ensure you’re comfortable, safe, and ready to capture every moment.

1. Comfortable Clothing

Dress in layers to accommodate changing weather conditions. Light, breathable fabrics are ideal for warm days, while a lightweight jacket can keep you comfortable if it gets chilly. Long sleeves and trousers can protect you from sunburn and insect bites. Think "onion"—the more layers, the better!

2. Mosquito Spray

Mosquitoes can be quite persistent in these natural areas (it is their habitat too after all). We recommend mosquito spray with a DEET concentration of 30% or more will help keep those pesky insects at bay. Trust us, it’s a must-have.

3. Sun Protection

Even on overcast days, the sun’s rays can be strong. Bring along a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen with at least SPF 30 to protect your skin from getting burnt.

4. Water

Staying hydrated is crucial, especially when spending several hours outdoors. We recommend at least 1 litre per person.

5. Snacks

While our tour lasts about 4 hours, it’s always good to have a light snack on hand. Granola bars, nuts, or fruit are easy to pack and provide a quick energy boost. You're more than welcome to bring a packed lunch along too, as there's a designated snack spot on our route where we can stop to have a bite to eat, or you can have a picnic on the beach after the tour!

6. Camera and Binoculars

Our nature tours offer fantastic photo opportunities. Bring a camera to capture the stunning scenery and wildlife. If you have binoculars, bring them along for birdwatching and spotting distant wildlife. Don’t worry if you don’t own a pair – we provide binoculars for our guests.

7. Sturdy Footwear

Comfortable, sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots are essential. Trails can be uneven, so proper footwear will keep your feet supported and help prevent slips and falls.

8. Backpack

A small backpack is perfect for carrying your essentials. Plus, it leaves your hands free for binoculars or your camera/phone.

9. Personal Items

Remember to bring any personal items you might need, such as medications, tissues, or hand sanitiser. It’s better to be prepared for any situation. Also, if you have a spotting notebook or field guide reme

Additional Tips:

Check the Weather: Before heading out, check the local weather forecast and adjust your clothing and gear accordingly.

Respect Wildlife: Observe animals from a distance and avoid disturbing their natural habitat.

Leave No Trace: Carry out all trash and leave the environment as you found it.

We’re excited to welcome you to the natural wonders of the Sobieszewo Island. With these essentials in tow, you’ll be ready to fully enjoy the beauty and serenity of our nature tours. Happy exploring!
